As Ebola virus spreads in West Africa, some blame health workers

Ebola virus spreading in West Africa ,global alarm bells is now ringing. Hong Kong has also received a suspected case , the current patient has been treated in isolation.

A woman who used to visit Kenya in Africa has already catched a fever, dizziness and vomiting after she return to Hong Kong on Monday, which similar to the early symptoms of the Ebola virus, now she is isolated and treating at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Ebola virus disease is a severe acute viral disease characterized by sudden onset of fever, intense weakness, muscle pain, headache and sore throat. Then there will be vomiting, diarrhea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases there will be more bleeding and external bleeding. Now there is no treatment to the disease.

 

According to MedicineNet, Ebola is a notoriously deadly virus that causes fearsome symptoms, the most prominent being high fever and massive internal bleeding. Ebola virus kills as many as 90% of the people it infects. It is one of the viruses that is capable of causing hemorrhagic (bloody) fever.
